One of the selected blockbuster films of 2022, Ponniyin Selvan: I Tamil Movie has created a buzz at the box office. This historical action drama film has made a box office collection of around 450 crores, it is only the first part. Directed by Mani Ratnam, this film is getting a positive response from the people.

The film stars Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vikram Prabhu, Rahman and Lal.

Story: It is a story written by Kalki Krishnamurti about the power struggle during the Chojha rule between 900 and 950 AD. The three main points of the plot are the ruler Sundara Chozan and his sons Aditha Karikalan and Arunmozhivarman (who later ruled as Rajaraja Chozan). The plot and the struggle for power between the main characters and the people around them form the basis of this story.

The music of Ponniyin Selvan: I Movie is composed by Rahman which adds to the charm of the film. The film is based on the Chola Empire and the director has beautifully presented the history of that time in the film. Although there is not much fight in the first part but if you have seen Bahubali movie then you would know.

Originally this film is in Tamil language, it has been dubbed in Telugu Hindi Kannada languages. If you are a fan of Vikram and want to see Apsara in a new look like Aishwarya Rai, then definitely watch this movie.
