Telecom company Bharti Airtel has made a profit of Rs 1341 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year. Airtel had made a profit of Rs 2145.2 crore in the September quarter of last year. The company’s profit has declined by 37% compared to the same period last year.
Airtel’s revenue increased by 7%
In the July-September quarter, Airtel’s revenue has increased by 7% to Rs 37044 crore. The company’s revenue in the September quarter of last year was Rs 34,527 crore. The quarterly revenue of the company’s India business has increased by 11% on an annual basis to Rs 26995 crore.
Company’s mobile services India revenue has also increased by 11% on annual basis. Homes business has seen strong growth and its revenue growth on annual basis has been 23%. Revenue in the company’s Africa business has increased by 19% on an annual basis.
Earning from each user reached Rs 203
Airtel’s average revenue per user (ARPU) has increased to Rs 203 in the July-September quarter, which was Rs 190 in the same period last year. There has been an 11% jump in consolidated EBITDA in the September 2023 quarter on an annual basis and stood at Rs 19665 crore. The growth has been driven by continued focus on acquiring high value customers and better realisations.
