TATA Avinya electric car: Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM), the EV division unit of Tata Motors, has signed an MOU for a partnership with Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). Both the subsidiaries of Tata Motors will share technology to make electric cars under the partnership.
Tata Avinya will be built on the EMA platform
The electric car Tata Avinya will be developed on JLR’s Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA) platform. Whose concept model was presented this year at Auto Expo-2023. Apart from this, both companies will also sign an engineering service agreement for the production of electric cars.
Level 2+ autonomous driving systems
Being built on the EMA platform, Avinya will also support Level 2+ autonomous driving systems, over-the-air software updates and over-the-air feature updates. Developing the Avinya car on the EMA platform will save a lot of time and money for Tata Motors.
Tata Avinya will enter the global market in 2025
Jaguar Land Rover has developed an Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA) platform. With Tata Avinya developed on this platform, this company will enter the international market in the mid-size electric SUV segment in 2025. This platform has been specially designed to make pure electric vehicles.
What will be the price of Tata Avinya electric car?
The Tata Avinya concept was first unveiled in 2022. The price of the Avinya electric car can be kept around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom). According to Tata, its range will be more than 500 km on a full charge and it will support ultra-fast charging, so it will be able to travel 500 km in just 30 minutes of charge.
The Tata Avinya is expected to launch in India in January 2025.
The 5-seater Tata Avinya EV SUV car could be priced from Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.
The competitors for Tata Avinya EV are Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV 400 Electric and MG Hector 2023.
As per company info, the car will have a range of 500 km on a 30-minute charge.
